“I didn’t come to hair through a straight line.
I came to it through theatre, movement, costume, and the quiet magic of backstage rooms — where transformation really happens.

As a teenager, I believed I would be an actor. I won a scholarship to study at the Australian Film and Television Academy in Melbourne, travelling every weekend to train with working actors and teachers. Later, my love of movement led me to full-time training at Brent Street in Sydney, one of Australia’s most respected performing arts schools.

Hair and makeup rooms were always where I felt most at home — places of collaboration, trust, creativity, and last-minute problem solving. I learned early that how someone looks changes how they move, how they feel, how they perform.

Before hair became my profession, I was already designing. I patched and distressed denim out of necessity, then curiosity, then ambition. I took out a personal loan and staged my own fashion show. I choreographed the runway, dressed the models, styled the looks, and built something from nothing — not because I was a business expert, but because I was a creative director by instinct.

Hair kept pulling me back in. I styled performers, worked on shoots and shows, and eventually entered the Australian Hairdressing Championships, designing and constructing an entire runway collection. That experience changed everything. At 25, I sold my car, bought a push bike, and committed fully to hairdressing — apprenticing at one of Geelong’s most prestigious salons.

For over two decades, I worked quietly. I trained locally and internationally. I refined my craft. I learned what salons do well — and where they fail creatives.

I’ve owned a salon before. I learned the hard lessons. I grew up.

Today, this salon exists for artists who want autonomy and structure, creativity and professionalism, freedom and standards.

This is not a fast-fashion salon.

This is not a churn-and-burn workplace.
