Jothan Tassone is an emerging filmmaker and final-year student at Collarts, with a broad range of skills across film production and post-production. His creative practice spans directing, producing, writing, cinematography, editing, VFX, sound design and production design.

Jothan has worked on brand advertising projects and directed short films, with another short film currently in pre-production and casting for a October 2026 shoot. His production experience also includes conducting on-set interviews for documentaries, camera and lighting operation, run-and-gun filmmaking and action sports cinematography.

His wider production skills include assistant directing, location management and location scouting, including conducting recces and sourcing locations for productions.

His post-production expertise extends to sound recording, boom operation, Foley, dialogue editing and visual effects/CGI

Through Degenerate Pictures, Jothan is developing a versatile filmmaking practice across the full production process, from writing and directing through to cinematography, sound and post-production.
