Born and bred in Geelong, Elijah Ormesher is an enthusiastic and passionate local filmmaker who is fast making his mark on the region’s creative scene. With a strong collaborative spirit and a determined attitude, Elijah thrives on working alongside other creatives to bring bold and unique stories to life.

Elijah recently launched his own production company – Friend in Hand Productions – and has just completed the assembly cut of their latest project, “Cars, Crims, Cops and the Creature”.
He also recently worked as 1st Assistant Director on “Locked” – a moving short film by fellow Geelong filmmaker Mia de Rauch – where his calm and capable presence helped keep the production running like clockwork.

Having completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Television Production, Elijah brings hands-on experience across all stages of production and has taken on various roles behind the scenes. He continues to develop his craft while actively contributing to the local film industry.

As a director, Elijah has helmed several short films including “Mother’s Day” and “Red Light”, showcasing his storytelling talent and visual flair.

With passion, professionalism, and a love for his hometown, Elijah is a rising creative force in Geelong’s growing film community.
