Kya Wise is a Naarm / Melbourne-based photographer and independent filmmaker with a passion for storytelling and visual creativity.

She is currently completing a VET Cert III in Visual Arts in the fundamentals of filmmaking at the Academy of interactive Entertainment in Docklands.

Aspiring to become a full-time director and cinematographer, Kya is interested in creating a diverse range of work, from horror features to coming-of-age short films.

She is passionate about developing her craft and creating compelling screen stories.

Kya took part in the Geelong Waterfront Film 48-Hour Film Frenzy 2026 Shoot Out, working as Cinematographer on the short film “Delivery Quest”.

Self-motivated and committed to developing her craft, Kya is eager to gain further industry experience and take on roles, paid or volunteer, that build her skills in cinematography and directing.
