Sacha Hulsebosch is a Dutch producer and director, living in Australia, whose documentary work explores creativity, resilience, identity, and the deeply human stories behind remarkable people and their experiences.
Her award-winning documentary Simon Says received recognition at the Geelong Film Festival, establishing Sacha as a distinctive voice in Australian documentary filmmaking.
She followed this with Emerge: The Creative Journey of Artists, an intimate and visually compelling documentary exploring the creative process and the journeys of artists connected to NotFair Art Fair, Australia’s independent art fair.
Emerge has received international recognition, including Best Art Film in Amsterdam, Honourable Mentions in New York and Melbourne, and Finalist recognition at the Jackson Film Festival in Tennessee and the Stockholm Film Festival. The film was also officially selected for the 2025 Melbourne Documentary Film Festival.
Sacha’s latest documentary, Blind Ambitions, continues her passion for uncovering compelling human stories, bringing her distinctive visual style and empathetic approach to a new subject and audience.
