SHORT PLAY WRITING COMPETITION – RUN BY GEELONG WRITERS INC.
Creatives, this is your chance to enter.
The Geelong Writers Inc first short play writing competition is now open and submissions will close on 27 April 2025.
Writers are invited to enter their scripts for short plays with a maximum duration of 15 minutes and with 5 characters or less. Set requirements should be kept to a minimum. Writers are encouraged to be creative in their choice of theme/topic and aim for maximum audience impact.
Writers may submit up to two scripts.
Their work will be judged by a panel of three experienced theatre professionals who will select up to six scripts to be performed by local theatre companies at Geelong Short Play Festival in early November 2025.
The winning scripts will be announced at the end of May 2025.
